A solid start

Last week, Dash made history (for him, anyway) by eating solid food (semi-solid, anyway) for the first time, not counting his steady diet of stuffed animals, chew toys, and Daddy's fingers. His plat du jour? Why, rice cereal mixed with milk d'mama. His reaction? We'll get to that. First, let's see how Mommy enticed Dash to try the treat.

Yes, the tried and true "if it's good enough for a crazy person, it's good enough for you" method. Dash still wasn't completely sold. Notice the subtle body language.

And then the train actually enters the station.

The verdict? "Meh, not so bad. I could do worse."

I can't get over how big Dash looks sitting up in his high chair!! Besides the choo choo train trick don't forget the airplane zooming in also. Can't wait to see him and hold him already.
Love, g'ma Laurie

When the doorbell rings in a couple of minutes, that will be the Pizza I ordered for Dash being delivered. I think he's ready.
Make sure he wash's it down with a Coke (no petsi).

Still waiting for that pizza. Dash says I can have a slice.

Hmm, looks like he's eyeing whatever else is on the table. Perhaps the pizza just arrived?

The food looks good. How come no pictures of spit up on Gary? And only Gary.

No spit up on Daddy because Daddy wisely lets Mommy do the feeding. Actually, he doesn't (yet) seem to spit up food like those other ill-mannered babies. And yes, his hair is slowly surfacing. And no, still waiting on the pizza; Uncle Bozo shouldn't tease about such things.
